You may inspect the inside of the connector and the top of the spark plug to ensure that it is not corroded but rather in fine condition. Clean the corrosion from the electric metal parts if you noticed that it is dirty. By the use of a socket wrench, carefully loosen and remove your lawn mower?s spark plug. You will know if the engine is flooded when the spark gap tip of the plug looks wet and smells like gas.
